The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

Nicolas Cage performs in his most challenging character to-date - himself - in critically acclaimed meta-comedy. Nicolas Cage (uh, Cage) is facing far greater challenges in real life than he’s ever battled on-screen; his ex-wife (Sharon Horgan) is constantly on his back, his daughter (Lily Mo Sheen) can’t stand him or his weird movie taste, his agent (Neil Patrick Harris) is struggling to attract big pay-check roles, and he’s been locked out of his hotel room. When an invitation to attend the birthday of shady Spaniard Javi Gutierrez (Pedro Pascal) comes with a $1,000,000 offer, the movie star jumps at the chance. But, upon arriving at Javi’s opulent seaside mansion, Nicolas Cage finds himself embroiled in a plot that involves a kidnapping, the CIA and a screenplay written by fanboy Javi.

Hilariously referencing Cage’s varied movie career throughout, director Tom Gormican’s action comedy co-stars Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz and Paco Leon.
