How would you react if your partner confessed to a romantic entanglement with your idol?
César (Hugo Silva, The Ministry of Time) and Teresa (Alexandra Jiménez, also in Checkmates) are a happy couple until she has an affair with pop singer Coque Malla (played by the real-life star), César’s idol ever since he was a teenager.
Faced with this unexpected scenario, César decides he needs to speak to Coque, so the couple travels to Miami in search of the legend. Along the way, they reconsider their own lives and their relationship of over 17 years, as they navigate a range of situations from the everyday to the absurd that promise laughter and serendipitous twists of fate.
Taking inspiration from timeless rom-coms like Annie Hall and When Harry Met Sally, this captivating feature length debut from directing duo Teresa Bellón and César F. Calvillo is a fun and delightful exploration of love.
