Two Prosecutors

Two Prosecutors
Amid the Stalinist purges, thousands of letters from detainees falsely accused by the regime are burned in a prison cell. Yet one – written in blood – reaches the desk of newly appointed prosecutor Alexander Kornyev.
A loyal Bolshevik with a sense of justice, Kornyev seeks out its author, a man brutalised by the secret police, the NKVD. Their meeting sparks a chain of repercussions that will carry Kornyev deep into the machinery of Stalin’s regime.
Two Prosecutors is the joint highest scored film on the Screen International 2025 Cannes Jury Grid and the winner of the Prix François Chalais.
